Dayquil and Nyquil are little horsepills/capsules of "heaven." They work... they definitely work. But when I say work - I mean they relieve the symptoms of the cold. So while the symptoms go away for 3-5 hours, the cold/flu is still there, and you come crashing down around the 4-6 hour mark. It gives you false sense of recuperation when you're really just as sick as you were before taking the colorful orange and green capsules.
I'm staring at the little orange capsules on my desk trying to decide if I want to down them. I know I'll feel much better (even though I'm not really getting better.) But should I just ride it out and go home early and rest or take the dayquil and maybe last the whole day (possibly making myself worse)? This is the same thing Barbara did last week...she started feeling better and so she pushed herself to go to work. She ended making herself worse and was sick for the whole week!
