That was quick!

I just got back from a weekend visiting Sam in San Diego! It was nice and relaxing, and I think I drank and ate way too much! I arrived over there at 5pm on Friday night and got back into town about 3 hours ago. We didn't do much, but it was a nice visit nonetheless. We did some driving up and down the coast (PCH) and caught some good views of the ocean and beautiful neighborhoods. We had many beers and a fair number of Jack n Cokes and stuffed ourselves on some seafood, Thai food, beef, and fish tacos (obviously not all on the same day!)

The weather out there was overcast and foggy, but at least it wasn't raining and at least it was a lil humid (which compensated for the cooler temps) but was very comfortable even for a desert rat arizonan such as myself.

I'll have to wait till tomorrow to get my photos online (I didn't take that many.)

A little reminder of bachelorhood is/was nice. . . but I don't miss it!

Another Week Speeds By . . .

I can't believe that it's the end of September already! Where did the rest of September go? Geez!

After a weekend of moving last week, it's nice to be able to get away for the weekend. I'm takin a half day tomorrow and going out to San Diego to visit Sam. It should be a nice, chill weekend. Probably not do too much... but it'll be nice. Barbara's got a girl's weekend planned with her sister. . . (nails, shopping, food, chick flix from Blockbuster.) Good - then I don't have to watch "Swimfan" or "10 Ways to Lose a Man" with her!

This week at work has been hectic! My printer has been down off and on for the past week or two and has caused me to be way behind in some of my projects. But luckily everything is almost back to normal, and I'm starting to recover. The job is starting to get old and monotonous, and some of the people are starting to become very irritating! I love the office where I work, but some of the realtors are ... well... demanding would be putting it lightly!

blah, blah, blah, blah, blah...

3 More weeks till Lisa & Michael's wedding!

Wow, that was quick! This year has flown!

Happy Birthday Seth!

Happy 29th Birthday to Seth!

Happy birthday to you... happy birthday to you...

happy birthday dear seth... happy birthday to you!

(Yeah, how retarded is that?)

All they do is bitch!

Why can't people be pleasant? They don't have to be gushing with niceness nor do they have to be fake... but just pleasant. I'm not asking for much! I'll accept pleasant.

Without getting into specifics, a certain realtor (whom I vehemently despise) called me up for the first time this week demanding her order for some marketing pieces be done. While I have had the order for a week or so, I had not heard from her about a proof that I had emailed to her (she had email problems and had not received my two other proofs.) She calls and demands that they're done immediately. Ok, immediately??? Heh, no I don't think so. Your shit smells too, missy! Like you're the only one I'm working with?!?!

First of all the order was huge (about 1500 pieces). . . second of all I'm not dropping everything for you . . . and lastly, you don't have to be a bitch to get things done! A little bit of manners and common courtesy would've gotten your order earlier, you b*tch!

I rushed to get this order done (which also meant going to the printer supply company the morning to pick up a part)and have it sent over to her. Like an hour later she calls and just bitches at the fact that the flyers are all sloppy! You know I wouldn't send you sloppy shit... why, so you could complain more? You know... the real kicker is that we provide this service for FREE! Yes, free! How can you bitch about something that is free? You ingrate!!

Bennifer??... Shmenifer!!

Why is it that everyone is so interested in a wedding and a relationship that was a sham in the first place? I just don't get it! Wasn't it pretty apparent that the whole thing was a publicity stunt? Hmmm... how coincidental that they both had a movie together at the same time while dating? No, I think not!

Why is it that our culture is so engrossed by a movie star couple that today's main headlines were Hurricane Isabel and the "Bennifer Split"? Are our lives that boring or are we just fixated by the glam and the glitz of multi-million dollar power and stardom? Seems pretty messed up to me. . .

And There Goes Another One!

Congratulations to Seth and Leslie!!!!!

He popped the big question, and she said yes!

Looks like we'll be coming back to NJ again next summer for a wedding!

This is so exciting... now I really can't wait to meet Leslie (not that I wasn't excited before.)

Damn, the next few years should be really exciting!

;n)

No Show

Ok, so Josh neve showed up at work, and I never heard from him... so I assume that the happy hour show didn't happen. What a flake.... I called him all day long, and never heard a single thing from him. I would've just gone, but I didn't even know where the place was. Oh well... maybe some other Friday night (hopefully a night after we all practiced.)

"Happy" Hour?

So after last night's jam/rehearsal session, I'm still not too convinced about playing tonight at Pinky's. Maybe it was because Rick our bassist wasn't there. But I've played with him before (he usually on guitar.) If he doesn't come tonight, then I'm not going. No way am I covering bass for him. I can't just "wing - it." I don't even know the songs - well, not most of them at least. Definitely don't know them enough to be playing bass on there. At least with the congas I can kinda fake my way through. I don't know - I guess we'll see. At this point, I'd rather not play.

We're playing with this guy named Monte. He's actually one of the members of the Shondells (as in Tommy James & the Shondells.) They did the original "Mony Mony" and "I Think We're Alone Now." So needless to say, we'll be playing mostly 60's - 70's acoustic/folk rock. I like some of the stuff. Luckily I know my music. ;n)

I guess we shall see what happens. . .

Flash Mobs Violence

". . . During a flash mob event recently held in Prague, an independent journalist attempting to photograph the gathering was beaten and detained by security guards, according to mob organizer Daniel Docekal and other participants in the event. . .

Bush Recall?

It's time to get Bush out of office! hahahah!

Are we really any 'safer' than before 9/11? I'm so glad we're so much safer now that Saddam Hussein and Bin Laden are gone.... oh yeah, wait... we never found them. And this economy is booming...

Hmm... largest deficit in years.... highest rate of unemployment in years... diminishing resources... schools are going to crap... anything else? It's so nice of congress to give themselves a raise too! Those damn bastards!

Who is ultimately responsible for these issues???

Our 'elected' president George W. Bush.

Sick and Tired of his Bullshit and lies?

BushRecall.org

Ok, so maybe it's too late to recall bush, but at least it gives you something to think about next year when the jerk is up for re-election!

I really haven't posted anything in the past week because I haven't really thought of anything to write about. Life has been the usual... and the wedding excitement is starting to creep up on us. We're only about 5 weeks away from Lisa and Michael's wedding! Damn, how did the time fly by so quickly?!?! It wasn't long ago that we were in San Francisco! It's going to be so nice seeing everyone all together!

I'm thinking of going out to San Diego at the end of this month to visit Sam. This will probaby be the last time I see him in San Diego since he's probably moving in Nov to San Francisco... hey, even a better place to visit. At least Bob is up there too!

This weekend was pretty uneventful and lazy. We had the usual routine of Barbara going to class on Saturday and the usual weekend trips to the grocery store and Target. I've started to dive into some XML and Java... So far it looks pretty interesting and relatively easy to learn. Hopefully, I'll incorporate some xml and java into my site.

This week I may play with Josh and a few others in downtown Scottsdale at a happy hour Friday (5-7.) I'll probably be manning the congas for most of the 2 hr set, but maybe I'll grab the guitar for a song or two. Hopefully we have a chance to maybe practice a little sometime during the week. I'm wondering how many people will actually be there. Come on, Friday night in Old Town Scottsdale should be very "interesting." Hmm... old people catching some drinks and dinner before the Scottsdale clubbers or a varied mix of ages and groups? I guess we'll see. Maybe if Barbara goes to check it out I'll have to give her my camera to take a few pix. Hahah!

So ya ever heard of flash mobbing???

According to Flashmob.com . . .

"Flash mobs are sudden gatherings of people at a predetermined location at a predetermined time. People in flash mobs usually perform according to a written script, then disperse quickly. Flash mobs can be for many purposes but most groups stick to having fun. "

It seems like an interesting idea, and I am anxious to maybe try to find one out here in AZ. So far there seems to be a relatively small/underground group participating in one out here.

    A complete waste of time?

Or a wildly inventive cure for the boredom of our daily lives?

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY LISA!!!!

Wow, it's so nice to have a long weekend! Even though we didn't do much, it was still nice none the less . . .

I'm kinda glad we didn't go anywhere or do much . . . it's nice to be a bum!

Besides Barbara going to her dress fitting yesterday and doing some shopping on Saturday, the weekend has been fairly uneventful. At least I had a chance to restring my guitar! It's been needing it for a long time now. I can't remember the last time my guitar has seen new strings. Actually, I don' think I've changed them since getting the guitar from dad at christmas time!

I've changed my site layout (again!) We'll see how long this one lasts. I can just never be satisfied with it. I still have to change the other pages too, but unfortunately that'll have to wait.

We're going over to Barbara's sister's today for a BBQ and a swim (Jayden will be ecstatic!) Additionally, we may check out a dining set that Lily's aunt is trying to get rid of. . . Yay, we may finally get a dining table! No more eating on the coffee table for us! Haha! Wow, we can actually have dinner guests over!
