It’s been a while since I posted something to my site. With the holidays and being busy at work, I haven’t had time to sit down and write about everything going on.
Work has been busy ad usual (definitely can’t complain - at least I still have a good job that I like), and the holiday sprint from Thanksgiving to Christmas always seems to get shorter. Within that time I managed to plan a last minute trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Miraculously, I was able to cash-in some miles and got a sweet deal on a hotel room right in the middle of town.
I took a shitload of photos, but I’m still going through them all. I plan on posting photos (and videos) within the next day or so.
So check out my Cabo page
Christmas in Cabo was very fun and relaxing. I got back on the 30th and had a short day at work and then today I had off. I’m not sure why we didn’t just get tomorrow off as well.
I’m so glad we get to hit the yearly “reset” button - 2009 has to be better than this past awful year! So many crappy things have happened personally this year and it all seems to overshadow my own career accomplishments and (more globally) what should be the historic election of Barack Obama. Being a news junkie and somewhat active political supporter this normally would’ve been an active season of campaign activities and otherwise political obsession, but the late days of the campaign had my mind wandering in other places.
The last couple months have proven to be life-changing, and I’ve found my life thrusted into drastically new and unforeseen circumstances. While I’ve come to terms with certain things, some things are still very dissapointing and somewhat unforgiveable. In the end I know I will come away a better person. Not necessarily because of the contributions of others (which have always been very generous) but because of the way I have dealt with change.
Seems like 2008 really was the year for CHANGE.

Yes, FINALLY!!!! After 4 years, Dave Matthews Band has a new studio album coming out and has announced tour dates for 2009!
After 15 years (holy shit - that seems like a long time!) I am still a HUGE Dave Matthews Band fan. I still listen to it - I still play it on the guitar. I’ve already got my Warehouse ticket order submitted.
From dmband.com:
We are excited to bring you the first Dave Matthews Band tour dates of 2009. On April 14th, Dave Matthews Band returns with its first studio album in four years – and they’ll celebrate with a show at New York City’s Madison Square Garden that evening. The MSG show will be followed by 16 additional US spring dates, including a stop at the 40th Annual New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival on April 26, 2009. Along the way, Dave Matthews Band fans will be treated to the group’s first-ever live performances of songs from the new yet-to-be titled album. Joining the group on the road this spring will be Tim Reynolds on guitar, Rashawn Ross on trumpet and Jeff Coffin on saxophone.
