Yesterday was a sad day for us. After a few months of dealing with Bailey's stomach issues, we had to finally put him to sleep.

In January, we had to board him and get him treated for severe constipation. While the boarding was a few hundred dollars, the total bill came out to about $1000!!!!

After the past few weeks of watching him getting worse and losing a lot of weight, I took him the vet yesterday. They wanted to treat him the same way as they had done previously, but this time I knew this was going to be a reoccurring problem. The vet agreed. We would have to have him treated, sent home with antibiotics, and would have to consistently monitor his behavior, and most likely have to bring him back in for more treatment.

Yesterday's treatments were going to cost $650. I'd have no problem paying this again - if I knew he was going to be fixed and much better, but that definitely wasn't the case.

So we made the hard decision to put him out of his misery (he was definitely in a lot pain).

So Baxter is at home now, probably looking for Bailey. I guess we'll be spoiling Baxter now.

Yeah, Bailey was only a pet, but it still sucks when your pet is gone.
