    This Sucks!

Before leaving the house yesterday (my wifey and I carpooled) I mentioned that I heard a low rumbling/warbling (is that a word) sound. She said it was the neighbors. Whatever... I wasn't going to worry about it. We were on our way to work.

I was heading out of work last night, and I get a phone call from the wifey saying that the AC is out in the house and it's hot as hell in the house. For most of the night it hovered around 88-90.

I continued to "band night," and she endured the heat all night. When I came home it was unbelievably hot in the house. And our bedroom was super hot! So we slept in the living room on an air mattress, the fans on full blast, and some bags of ice ice under our heads.

The house is under a year old. Everything is brand new! I guess I'm just glad this happened in the first year as opposed to outside the warranty period.

So hopefully we get the repair guy out here some time today!

    DIY

After two weekends of back-breaking work, I have finally completed my first new home project. I got our paverstone patio installed. It's not as level and flat as I would like it, but I think overall I did a decent job. This last weekend was the final step of tamping down the stones with a (rented) plate compactor and spreading all the sand to fill in the cracks.

I was such a dumbass last weekend, and I took off my shirt as I was working. BIG MISTAKE!!! My back is still dark red from the intense sunburn.

In case you want to check it out, here are some Photos
